Charlie Wilson’s War
I’ve always been a Tom Hanks fan - ever since his 1st appearance in… what film?
So when I heard that Mr. Hanks would be staring in a semi-autobiographical film of the famous Texas congressman, I knew I could wait for it to come out on DVD.
I put a lot of stock in the quality of a movie by its running time and with only 90 minutes I was expecting a studio edited piece of crap.
I was pleasantly surprised. Like this review - Charlie Wilson’s War is to the point.
Mr. Hanks holds his own, as expected. Julia Roberts looks pretty and does her best not to get in the way of the acting. But the real star is Philip Seymour Hoffman who nails Gust Avrakotos and carries this film.
Charlie Wilson’s War: Its good, go rent it!
3.5 out of 5 fish heads!
